Customers rave about the attentive service provided by staff members like Santi, who went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The food here is top-notch, with dishes like the mushroom taco and corn ribs receiving high praise for their flavors and spiciness. The happy hour specials, including refreshing drinks like sangria and margaritas, are a great deal at only $7 each.
One standout dish that has patrons coming back for more is the Buffalo Shrimp taco, which features perfectly cooked shrimp and a flavorful red pickled cabbage slaw on top. The rice and beans side dish provides a nice contrast to the tacos and rounds out the meal.
While the service may be a bit slower on weekends due to high demand, the overall experience at Buena Vida is well worth it. The ambiance, prices, and excellent service provided by servers like Ge make this restaurant a must-visit for anyone craving delicious Mexican cuisine in a lively atmosphere.
A girlfriend had recommended meeting here as the weather is getting cooler in the DMV area :) it's a cute restaurant/bar in Clarendon with 3 floors. We took the elevator to the rooftop on a Thursday for happy hour and there wasn't too many people. They have QR codes for menus, lively music, and a TV to broadcast sports games. The customer service was phenomenal. From entering the restaurant to the service we received at the rooftop, everyone was so warm and attentive. I can't speak to the food because we just ordered drinks, but I feel like this place could be a vibe at night. Plenty of metered street parking nearby.
Santi was super patient and helpful. I've never seen a server be that patient with large parties. Food was good and came out quickly! Nice environment and comfortable prices. Thanks Santi!
My friend and I are local in Arlington, so we decided to try the happy hour after work on the rooftop since the weather was nice. We had a great time. Plenty of seating available and the service was fast and efficient. The food was delicious. I had the mushroom taco which was spicy so be cautious with those peppers! Based on other reviews, I'd be wary of coming here on the weekend. But unfortunately everywhere is busy on the weekend so the service will be a bit slower - especially in the summer season. I'll definitely come back for an after work happy hour:)
We stopped by Buena Vida on a Thursday--half price marg pitcher day! The pitcher was $22 and we got 10, yes TEN, margaritas out of it (5 each). We also split the guacamole, which was quite small, but very delicious. Service was phenomenal and the place itself it's so adorable. If you're ever in the area, or even in DC (it's about 15 minutes out) give this place a try!
Had been eyeing this place out for a while after visiting its sister restaurant across the street, Ambar, a few times. Came for brunch menu. Had a reservation which is highly recommended as the place seemed pretty packed. Lots of options on the menu to choose from for a fixed price, but I will say my favorite was the pork belly tacos and the white omelette with bacon. The service was a bit slow, and while our server was courteous, he did apologize a few times because he had a few tables to attend and couldn't come check on us quicker (I'm never a fan of that excuse). We ordered mimosas and sangria. I can say that they were pretty watered down but can't ask much for the price $1 each on brunch special. Lots of plants in the place giving it a home feel and Latin music that makes you feel like you are at a spot in a foreign country.
